About me
Hi. I’m looking for a good joke here to loosen the crown up a bit before I get into the nuts and bolts of who I am. Please send me one if you have it.
I like to use my Twitter description. Short and to the point (like me). I’m Multimedia/video guy at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I like to run. Each of the last three years, I’ve run a marathon. I’ll be running my 4th marathon in October in Chicago. I’m a Chicago sports fan (besides the Sox- yuck!) and I’m a new dad.
The photo on the left is me pretending to be important. There were just so many mics! I was actually hamming it up a little for a mic check prior to Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s press conference in August, 2009. There were so many mics due to the fact that it was his first public appearance after being brutally attacked as he intervened during a domestic dispute. Check out how he looked.

It’s from the UWM March 4th protests. I am a graduate student / TA, and I design the cover of my TA union’s academic “planner.” It’s free to all students/TAs – we don’t charge anything for it, or make any money off of it whatsoever. I would mostly be doing a drawing of the image and then adding our TA logo to it somewhere. The photo really captures the sense of activism and solidarity that we promote amongst our members.
I would, of course, credit to use of the photo on the inside of the cover (where my name also goes, under “designer”).
It’s a great photo, and it would really mean a lot to us you’d allow us to use it for this purpose. I can send you my “remixed” version after it’s done as well.

When I saw ‘runner’, I thought it was short for something on the job..but marathon..good for you!.. I thought I was the only one. I run for an hour every day…keeps me sane…I always wanted to do a marathon. That’s awsome! Your photography is amazing…always was.
